Insurance Myth vs. Reality
Inaccurate perceptions exist about the property insurance industry, although many insurance companies have done an excellent job at representing their services in an altruistic light. The truth of the matter is that they are in business to save money. That is easier to accomplish when adjusting a claim with an inexperienced individual owner, or even a contractor who typically seeks approval from a company adjuster in hopes of securing future construction work.
Make sure that your investment is recompensed at the maximum allowable value by investing in an expert who can get the job done and is transparently motivated to perform on your behalf. The insurance adjuster is there to pay the claim, but needs to know how much to pay.
What the owner presents and how the information is collected and documented can have a huge impact on the claim. The insurance adjuster can seem to be your best friend and on your side, but business is business, and that’s reality.

“There was a lot more to picking up the pieces after our community fire than staying on top of all the paperwork. Gary handled everything, so that I could take care of what’s really important — our residents.”
