Commercial Properties
Your business can’t afford to rely on the adjusters provided by your insurance agency, especially when your only business structure has been damaged. The Timmons Group is committed to actively pursuing maximum settlements for business owners who rely on uninterrupted operation.
Structure Claims
Typically, a structure claim includes various building components and will be estimated by contractors for insurance adjusters, according to time and complexities associated with the reconstruction. Routinely, the contractor will estimate damages by standard repair methods and not by the standards of an adjuster. In many cases, insurance contractors will submit conservative estimates in order to remain in favor with the insurance company adjuster. Our firm will review the damages and help to prepare an estimate based on true pre-loss conditions. This requires negotiating experience, an intimate familiarity with the property and policy, and a basic knowledge in construction. It is common for the Timmons Group to negotiate significant increases in most structure claims.
Contents Claims
A contents claim can cover anything from restaurant and manufacturing equipment to furniture, inventory and any other business-related item. Whether damages are minimal or extreme, you have decisions to make about the amount of damages to claim, what can and should be salvaged, and what items are necessary to clean and restore. These decisions are best made under the advisement of an experienced and knowledgeable advocate. The Timmons Group can direct and assist their client in making informed decisions that best suit their positions and goals.
Business Interruption Claims
Business Interruption coverage is generally optional and can have a major impact on the ongoing health of the business depending on how the claim is presented.
The insurance adjuster will typically request past financial statements from the insured’s accountant such as past tax returns, sales tax records, profit and loss statements, and more.
These documents are conformed to meet tax requirements, and generally are set up to minimize the taxes your business is still obligated to pay. However, this orientation may not always represent the insured’s best interests in an insurance claim. The Timmons Group will request all financial records for review before submitting your business interruption claim. By committing to a diligent, thorough preparation, the Timmons Group regularly increases our clients’ business interruption claims by thousands of dollars.

Customers Quotes
“There was a lot more to picking up the pieces after our community fire than staying on top of all the paperwork. Gary handled everything, so that I could take care of what’s really important — our residents.”
